The NHS in Trafford is calling on all community, voluntary, religious and special interest group and organisations to join in the discussion around the proposed service changes at Trafford General Hospital.
A new community toolkit, containing a DVD and several interactive activities, has been specifically designed for local groups to help them learn about the proposed service changes and encourage them to share their views and opinions on the proposal.
Dr George Kissen, medical director at NHS Trafford, said, “The interactive toolkit is a great new resource to help local groups play an active role in the consultation decision-making process.
“I would encourage all group leaders to request a copy of the free facilitator-led toolkit. It contains really useful interactive tools to enable friends and colleagues to understand the reasons why change at the hospital is necessary. It also contains case study tools to help residents explore the potential impact of the proposed changes on different groups of patients.”
Any community group leaders or organisations who would like to request a free toolkit can call 0161 873 9505 (text relay18001 then 0161 873 9505) or email newhealthdeal@trafford.nhs.uk.
